HHArt of Medicine

HHArt of Medicine is an art observation program for health care staff delivered by NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine department that creates a safe environment for health professionals to deepen their connection with one another. Empathy based curriculum is a core component of the HHart of Medicine social-emotional learning module.

Art observation for health care staff creates a safe and thoughtful environment for healthcare workers to deepen their connection with one another, promote individual reflection, foster empathy and increase awareness for the psychosocial context of patient and caregiver experience. The empathy-based curricula are a core component of the HHart of Medicine’s learning model and currently partners with The Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum.
